My name is Sarah Wise and I'm a postdoctoral researcher in the SpaceTimeLab of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering of University College London. I recently finished my PhD in the Department of Computational Social Science at George Mason University.
I'm interested in exploring and forecasting the development of systems involving people, infrastructure, and information using methodologies including agent based modelling (ABM), social network analysis (SNA), and geographic information systems (GIS). I'm a geospatial computational social scientist specialising in spatially explicit agent-based models (ABM), in particular behaviourally-influenced movement on networks.
I'm interested in using open and crowdsourced data, and particularly interested in application of these methods to social and urban issues. In my spare time, I like to attend Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team mapathons and help out with the Missing Maps project.
